Assisting older adults as they age in place, Care Services of Evergreen offers a variety of services. Our In-Home Services team offers services to adults in their home along with a Home Delivered meal program. The Day Center of Evergreen offers a safe and engaging environment for adults in need of care and assistance during the day. In conjunction with Evergreen Commons, we provide places, platforms, programs, services and opportunities for older adults, regardless of income, to live as fully as they are able. We encourage a purposeful, active lifestyle in all its dimensions: Social, Physical, Vocational, Environmental, Intellectual, Care Services provides a variety of community resources such as: Home Delivered Meals, In-Home Care, The Day Center, a Bathing Program, Caregiver Training and Support, Medication Set-UP and a Resource Office. Like our other branch, the Commons of Evergreen, two of our programs, The Day Center and Home Delivered Meals, rely on volunteers to succeed.Home Delivered Meals:HDM volunteers help us by delivering meals to our client's homes. Volunteers must be 21 or older, have their own car (mileage is reimbursed), have a valid Driver's License, and have a good driving record. Volunteers typically have a weekly route. The time commitment is from 10:30-1:00. At the Day Center:Volunteers help us as a â??teacherâ??s aideâ??; they keep games and activities going and help participants join in, it is fun, very hands on work. We rely heavily on our volunteers to help the day go smoothly. Over the lunch hour volunteers facilitate and serve and then enjoy a complementary meal while socializing with participants. Volunteers can also share their talents by leading activities.
