Project Hopeâ??s Missionis to link Christians with people in need to pursue self-help opportunities.OUR MOTIVE: To serve others and in doing so serve Jesus Christ.â??For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. ..I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me.â??Matthew 25: 30-40 OUR GOAL: That those whom we serve will experience the hope and love of Jesus Christ through us as we provide the necessities for daily living, encouraging them to make next steps toward greater self-sufficiency in order to realize their value as a unique individual created with purpose. OUR ORGANIZATION: Project Hope of NE Allegan County is a 501 (c- 3) tax exempt Christian ministry bringing hope to those in need through the resources of our individuals, churches, businesses and organizations. Who can serve? Anyone willing to serve the Lord by helping those in need in their community: families, youth as young as 10 with an adult and as young as 15 to work alone, and adults. (All minors must be pre-approved by a director before service.) What will I do? There are many jobs to be done at the Annetta Jansen Ministry Center. From greeting clients, sorting clothing, cashiering, to helping keep the ministry center neat and clean, filling food orders, stocking shelves in Annettaâ??s Pantry, picking up food and other items in the Project Hope Truck. We strive to use the talents given to each of us by God to help others in this ministry Where will I work? The Project Hope / Annetta Jansen Ministry Center, 1808 143rd Avenue, Dorr, Michigan 49323 When can I work? Annettaâ??s Garage thrift store is open Mon, Wed, Fri. 10 amâ??5 pm, Tues. and Thurs. until 8 pm. You can choose to work the first half of the day (10amâ?? 1 pm) or in the afternoon (1 pmâ??5 pm), or evenings on Tues. and Thurs.. You can choose to work once a month, once a week or anywhere in between.Annettaâ??s Pantry is open Monday through Friday by appointment. You can choose the days and hours that best suit your schedule between 10:00am and 4:00pm. How can I get started? Complete a short Application and Talent Inventory. Call Kaye Evans at the Project Hope office at (616) 681-4673 # 13, and tell us what days work best for you. After a short orientation you will be working as a volunteer at the Project Hope Annetta Jansen Ministry Center. Whatâ??s in it for me? You will experience the true joy of serving Christ with the talents He gave you to help those He loves. You will get to wear a very stylish Project Hope apron or smock, you will get to know others in your community that enjoy volunteering as well, not to mention the eternal reward of being a good and faithful servant.
