Wings Home is a four-bedroom, residential home where terminally ill patients are cared for in the final six weeks of life. Wings Home is only available to those receiving hospice care through Wings of Hope Hospice, who cannot care for themselves and have no other resources. Wings Home can also provide short-term or respite care to a caregiver when space is available. Care is provided around the clock by a combination of volunteers and professional caregivers. All costs for room and board, personal care, and medical care are provided at no expense to the patient or the family members Wings Home offers room and board, home cooked meals, medication administration, personal care, 24-hour symptom management, 24-hour caregivers, and a home-like atmosphere for family and friends to visit. The Wings Home is for eligible Wings of Hope Hospice patients who cannot care for themselves, and have no other resources. Wings Home can also provide short-term respite care to relieve a caregiver when a space is available.

The Wings Home is seeking big hearted caregivers to provide direct care for our patients at end of life.  The Wings Home is a non-profit, that provides free services for Wings of Hope Hospice patients.  Up to four patients can be at there at a time.  Caregivers greet new patients and their loved ones, help them to settle in comfortably, cook meals, give medications, assist with dressing, toileting, wash laundry, sanitize surfaces, and clean the home.  Most importantly, caregivers listen, encourage, and provide patient centered support.  There are three day shifts, 7am-12pm, 12-5pm, and 5-10pm.  A background check  and training is required. Volunteers work on a team with staff.
